Bar Manager

Bar Management experience is a must for the Black Diamond Bar Manager.  The Bar Manager is ideally fluent in French.  Budgeting, ordering, guest service, live music organisation and guest feedback is the remit for this position.  Reporting into and directly working with the Black Diamond Director with financial reporting, ordering and stock levels reviewed with the Director on a monthly basis. 

A real opportunity for someone looking to grow their hospitality experience and make a real name for themselves due to our expected growth over the next 3 years.  French speaking is a must.

About Black Diamond Lodge

Black Diamond bar and restaurant were launched in December 2014 and the level of success and demand requires a professional kitchen team to deliver the top-rated cuisine including: après-ski bar snacks, restaurant evening meals and morning breakfasts.

The bar is License 4 serving bar snacks, soft drinks, draught beer, coffees, cocktails and an extensive wine list.  Barista experience is a clear advantage.

Black Diamond Lodge and the Black Diamond Bar and Restaurant are rated #1 or #2 on Trip Advisor for Sainte Foy Tarentaise.  We regularly take the #1 spot along with the local classic French restaurant called Chez Marie.  We have earnt this spot for our excellent cuisine and friendly guest service.

Black Diamond Lodge accommodates a total of up to 24 resident guests.  Our guests are from all over the world – with a predominantly British client base in the winter with some French, Belgian and Swiss clients. 

The internal bar area is able to serve up to 70 guests (standing and sitting) with the external terrace areas able to serve an additional 30 guests (approximately).  The restaurant can seat 40 people at any one time (max 60-70 covers per night) and the diners will be a combination of resident Black Diamond guests and non-resident (public) reservations.  Occasional walk-in evening diners may be accommodated should there be capacity.  The Head Chef and Guest Services Manager are given direction on the number of reserved covers plus potential walk-ins each night.
